Mali's Prime Minister Diango Sisika is scheduled to visit Algeria on Sunday for talks with senior Algerian officials. A statement by the Algerian government here last night said Sisika's visit comes within political consultations between the two countries. The two sides will discuss the situation in Northern parts of Mali where rebels have reportedly siezed two-thirds of the county's north, the current efforts to settle the crisis there and the possibilities to enhance cooperation among what was called Al-Medan countries, namely Algeria, Mali, Mauritania and Niger.
