Prince Khalid pointed out that the Arab world faces disaster of severe aridity. He added that there are factors contributing in worsening of water disaster, including that some countries spend money on selling arms or establishing investment of unreliable returns. These countries ignored the investment in the provision of water or in searching for alternative sources of conventional sources. Prince Khalid said that one of the innovations is a production calling "Dry Water" which contributes to the rationalization of irrigation water, especially reforestation projects. Prince Khalid concluded his speech by thanking the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, for approving to host this conference in the Kingdom. Then, the Deputy Minister of Defense honored the conference's sponsors. In a press statement, Prince Khalid thanked King Saud University for its efforts in the fields of academic and scientific research.
