Spanish police have seized 11 metric tons (12.1 U.S. tons) of smuggled hashish on trucks with tanks rigged to hide the drugs. Thirty five people were arrested in what was described as the breakup of a major smuggling ring that fed the European market. Authorities displayed much of the haul on a patio outside the headquarters of the National Police on Wednesday. Some was packaged in small amounts resembling bars of soap, while much of it was held in suitcases made out of tape and packaging material, according to a report of the Associated Press.
