Police in Jizan seized eight blocks of hashish on Wednesday from a motorist who had hidden the drugs in a secret compartment in his Helux. The driver and another companion in the vehicle were both arrested, Al-Riyadh newspaper reported.. The same day, a man was detained at Jizan bus station attempting to board a vehicle while carrying six kilograms of hashish in his suitcase. His suspicious behavior prompted officers to open his suitcase where the illegal merchandise was found hidden coffee packaging.
