On behalf of French President Francois Hallande, the French ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Bertrand Besancenot has decorated the Rector of Naif Arab University for Security Sciences Dr. Abdulaziz bin Saqr Al-Ghamdi with France's Knight-class medal in recognition of the university's efforts to upgrade its relations with French renowned security and academic institutions. In remarks during decoration ceremony which was attended by a number of diplomatic corps members accredited to the Kingdom, the French ambassador lauded the university's role in tightening its relations with a spectrum of security and cultural institutions, led by the University of Sorbonne. For his part, Dr. Al-Ghamdi expressed pleasure on this honor, confirming the depth of scientific, research and training relations bindng the university with educational, security and justice institutions in France. Naif Arab University has conducted nearly 50 activities in collaboration with French institutions in which more than 1400 Arab specialists took part and received high-ranking French officials who visited the faciltiy in Riyadh, including France's ministers of interior and justice as well as parliamentarians and heads of universities.
