Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense was awarded Prince Sultan bin Salman Award for the Architectural Heritage in recognition and appreciation of his leading efforts to preserve and protect the architectural heritage of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This came in remarks delivered by Dr. Fahd bin Abdullah Al-Samari, the Secretary General of King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives. In a press statement, Dr. Al-Samari who is a member of the Steering Committee of National Architectural Heritage Center, said that the prize is in the branch of "Lifetime Achievement Award" and provided by the Heritage Foundation. He also noted that the efforts of the Crown Prince Salman to protect the national architectural heritage are an historical documenting about his valuable endeavors and services in preserving the elements of national history and enhancing the sprawl between Saudi Arabia's past and present.
