Bomb Kills 10 Afghan Girls Gathering Firewood

At least 10 teenage girls were killed and a teenage boy was injured Monday when a bomb detonated as they were gathering firewood in eastern Afghanistan, police said.
The bombing occurred in the Chaprehar district of Nangarhar province, provincial police spokesman Hazrat Hossein was quoted as saying by DPA.
No one immediately claimed responsibility for the bombing.
