Saudi Arabia ranked first of the Arab world in the field of media and ad investments, Dr. Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Jasser, Deputy Minsiter of Cultrue and Information, told the closing session of the Media and Advertisement Fourm, organized by Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in Riyadh today. He said an ad hoc committee was formed to carry out the recommendations of the forum. On Saudization of the media sector, he said the question requires a much greater effort than the one exerted now, citing his ministry's plan to hold training courses in collaboration with Prince Ahmed bin Salman Center for media training. For his part, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Hazza, Chairman of the Broadcasting and TV Commission said one of his commission's priority's is to allow private broadcasting and TV stations to make full central transmission from the Kingdom. "The lack to the technological, environmental and regulatory frameworks appropriate for opening media channels from the territories of the Kingdom will become a story of the past", he said.
