Shamayleh expressed his thanks to the Saudi Government for providing this opportunity for diplomats to watch the Kingdom's antiquities and heritage, expressing his admiration for the antiquities and rocky paintings in Madain Saleh. In the same context, British Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia John Jenkins commended the archaeological sites and urban styles in Madain Saleh which reflect the depth of civilization in the Arabian Peninsula. He praised Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA) for its tremendous efforts in supporting the heritage and maintaining the antiquities. In another statement, Chinese Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Li Chengwen said that these archaeological sites reflect the keenness of the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for the preservation of the Kingdom's heritage and ancient civilization, commending SCTA for the provision of facilities for visitors to Madain Saleh and other archaeological sites.
