Diplomats accredited to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have expressed their admiration for Madain Saleh in Ola Governorate in Madinah Region. They commended the efforts of the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in preserving heritage and antiquities, stressing that what they have seen of antiquities and heritage reflects the depth of civilization in the Arabian Peninsula. Their statements came following a visit organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recently to Madain Saleh for a diplomatic delegation comprising more than 100 Ambassadors, Charge's D'affaires and Consuls accredited to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Kuwait's Ambassador Sheikh Thamer Bin Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah praised the Kingdom's Government for the good organization and protection of heritage sites, stressing that all citizens of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States and Arab countries should be proud of the Kingdom's efforts. He said that we should promote these sites globally and redouble our efforts in promoting our heritage as the Kingdom's heritage is for all GCC citizens, noting that he will be keen to spend his special vacation with his family in Ola Governorate if opportunity allows him. The Kuwaiti Ambassador expressed his thanks to the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, represented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for providing this opportunity for diplomats to watch the Kingdom's antiquities and heritage. --MORE
