The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud sent a thanking cable to U.S. President Barack Obama in response to the congratulatory one he has received earlier from the president on the occasion of the success of the surgical operation the monarch has recently undergone in Riyadh. In his cable, the monarch said " I have received a congratulatory cable from both Your Excellency and the first lady on the occasion of the success of the surgical operation I have recently undergone. Thank you for your noble feelings and sincere wishing sentiments, praying to Allah Almighty to bestow good health on everybody". The monarch availed himself of this opportunity to praise the firmness of the personal ties binding him with His Excellency, pointing to the second term mandate given by the American people to His Excellency and wishing everybody complete success. He added that "I laud the current close historical relations between our two friendly countries and peoples, confirming our keenness to proceed enhancing the relations between our two countries in all fields and work together for what enhances the world security and peace. Accept, Excellency, my sincere greetings and respect".
