China Backs Arab States' Efforts to Ease Gaza Tensions

China backs the mediation efforts made by Egypt and other Arab states as well as the Arab League (AL) to ease the current situation in Gaza, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said Wednesday.
"China is paying great attention to the situation in the Gaza Strip," Hua told reporters.
According to Xinhua, Hua added that China will continue to make unremitting efforts to mitigate the situation between Palestine and Israel and maintain peace and stability in the region.
