AlHijjah 20, 1433, Nov 5, 2012, SPA -- Floods in Nigeria have killed at least 363 people and displaced more than 2.15 million in recent months, the emergency agency said Monday. According to dpa, more than 7.7 million people out of the West African country's population of 150 million were affected by the heavy flooding, which started in July and is the worst in decades. The most affected regions were Adamawa and Kogi states, the country's news agency said. Vast stretches of Nigeria have been submerged by floods, as major rivers like the Niger, the continent's third longest, burst their banks.
