AlHijjah 15, 1433, Oct 31, 2012, SPA -- A government official said gunmen suspected to belong to a violent robbery gang attacked a village in northern Nigeria, killing 20 people, according to AP. Zamfara state spokesman Nuhu Anka said Wednesday that the attack happened early Tuesday morning in the remote village of Kabaru. Anka said the gunmen raided the town before dawn and killed the local village chief as well as others. Anka said police have begun an investigation into the killings. However, he said the attack is similar to other mass casualty killings in the region suspected to have been carried out by a violent robbery gang operating in the area.
