AlHijjah 13, 1433, Oct 29, 2012, SPA -- New York authorities will close two tunnels on Monday that link the city with New Jersey as a precaution against flooding caused by Hurricane Sandy, according to dpa. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that the tunnels under the Hudson River would close at 1800 GMT. "At 2 pm today, those tunnels are prone to flood and as a precaution we are going to close them," Cuomo said. He said bridges over the Hudson and East Rivers were under watch and could be closed as extreme high winds were expected.
