AlHijjah 13, 1433, Oct 29, 2012, SPA - Indonesia will next month sign a deal with Germany to purchase 130 Leopard II tanks, the Defence Ministry said Monday. The memorandum of understanding on the 280-million-dollar deal between Indonesia and Munich-based Krauss-Maffei Wegmann GmbH & Co KG would be signed on November 7 in Jakarta, said ministry spokesman Hartind Asrin. "The memorandum of understanding will stipulate the transfer of technology and the provision of spare parts," Asrin was quoted as saying by DPA.
