AlHijjah 1, 1433, Oct 17, 2012, SPA -- Six Indian soldiers working as United Nations peacekeepers and their interpreter were injured in an attack by a rebel group in the volatile eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, officials said on Wednesday. According to dpa, the soldiers were evacuated for treatment. Further details on their condition were not immediately known. Five civilians were also killed by suspected FDLR Hutu rebels in the same vicinity, according to the UN-sponsored Radio Okapi. It appears that the peacekeepers responded to that attack and were subsequently ambushed.
