AlQa'dah 29, 1433, Oct 15, 2012, SPA -- The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet session at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah on Monday afternoon. At the outset of the session, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques expressed the government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's welcome of pilgrims, thanking Allah Almighty for bestowing His goodness on the Kingdom to serve the guests of God who are coming to the Kingdom to perform Hajj rituals and visit the Prophet's Mosque. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session, the Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja said the cabinet listened to a report on the latest preparations for Hajj. In this regard, the King ordered all bodies participating in Hajj to exert and double efforts to help pilgrims perform Hajj rituals easily and comfortably. Then, the Cabinet discussed the latest developments at regional and international arenas. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques briefed the cabinet on his talks with the United Nations-Arab League Joint Envoy to Syria Lakhdar Al-Ibrahimi whereas they discussed the current situation in Syria and ways of ending all kinds of violence, bloodshed, terrifying of innocents and human rights abuses in Syria. The cabinet lauded the recommendations and decisions issued by the GCC Ministers of Municipal and Rural Affairs, Petroleum, Culture and Information, Water and Electricity who held their meetings in Riyadh last week. --More
