AlQa'dah 25, 1433, Oct 11, 2012, SPA -- Sudan has expelled a Norwegian diplomat stationed in the African country, in a diplomatic tit-for-tat between the countries, dpa quoted the Norwegian Foreign Ministry as saying Thursday The Norwegian ambassador to Khartoum was summoned on Wednesday to the Foreign Ministry and told that one of Norway's five diplomats to Sudan must leave, Norwegian Foreign Ministry spokesman Kjetil Elsebutangen told dpa. Norway said it "didn't comprehend and regretted" the decision. The expulsion follows the arrest earlier in the week of a Sudanese national in Norway. The 38-year-old, who has lived in Norway since 2004, is suspected of spying on Sudanese nationals and refugees n Norway. Norway's Foreign Ministry on Tuesday asked the Sudanese diplomat to leave the country as soon as possible, Elsebutangen said. In an interview with Norwegian broadcaster NRK, Sudan's ambassador to Norway, Onoor Ahmed, rejected the espionage allegations.
