Four policemen on patrol were killed when in a Taliban ambush in Dasht-e-Archi district of the northern Kunduz province, dpa quoted police spokesman Sayed Sarwar Hosseini as saying. Three civilians and a police officer were killed and two police officers were injured in two bomb blasts in southern Helmand province, the governor's office said. "A civilian vehicle struck a roadside bomb in Nad Ali district, killing three passengers," according to the governor's office. An hour later, police found another bomb in the same district and failed to defuse it, it said. "The bomb went off as it was being defused by a police. An officer died and two others injured," it said.
