Security Council on Friday condemned “in the strongest terms" what it called “terrorist attacks" in Aleppo, Syria earlier this week. “The members of the Security Council condemned in the strongest terms the terrorist attacks in Aleppo, Syria on 3 October, causing dozens of deaths and over 100 civilians injured," said Guatemalan U.N. Ambassador Gert Rosenthal, reading from a statement agreed on by all 15 council members. “They expressed their deep sympathy and sincere condolences to the families of the victims of these heinous acts and to the people of Syria," said Rosenthal, whose country holds the rotating presidency of the council for October.
