AlQa'dah 16, 1433, Oct 2, 2012, SPA - Arabian Gulf University and Saudi Fund for Development have signed a memorandum of understanding to finance the project of King Abdullah Medical City, which has been ordered to be established by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud as a gift from the Saudi people to the people of Bahrain to serve Arab Gulf society. The University's Rector, Dr. Khalid bin Abdulrahman Al-Ohali, expressed in a press statement following the signing of the memorandum his thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for his gift amounting to SR 2 billion to build the medical city, and to Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for allocating an area of ??one million square meters for the establishment of the city.
