AlQa'dah 14, 1433, Sep 30, 2012, SPA - Flooding sparked by heavy rains has killed at least 10 people in southern Spain as hundreds of other people in Andalusia and Murcia were evacuated, media reports said today. A 9-year-old girl was among the victims, five of whom died in Andalusia and five of whom perished in Murcia, according to DPA. Several of the dead were discovered in cars or their homes. One elderly man died of a heart attack as a helicopter was airlifting him to safety. Speaking in the Basque city of Victoria, Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy said his government would appeal to the European Union for disaster aid.
