AlQa'dah 14, 1433, Sep 30, 2012, SPA -- Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Gulf Cooperation Council with the participation of Secretary General Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani held at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York yesterday evening their second ministerial meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in the framework of the "forum of strategic cooperation between the GCC and the U.S." which was established on 31 March 2012 to promote cooperation between the Council and the United States in political, economic, security and military fields. The meeting was chaired on the GCC side by Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of "the current presidency state." The meeting reviewed the functioning of the strategic cooperation forum, ways to strengthen the Forum's works through the deepening and broadening of the strategic cooperative relations between the two sides and the latest developments in the region and issues of common concern. The Ministers condemned in a statement issued at the conclusion of the forum the abusive video of the Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) and stressed their rejection of all attempts aiming at defamation of religions. The statement also stressed the rejection of all forms of terrorism and extremism and condemnation of the attacks on the embassies of the United States of America and others in the recent weeks and the resulting loss of life and property. --More
