AlQa'dah 12, 1433, Sep 28, 2012, SPA -- The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states representatives and those of the Central America, South America and the Caribbean (SELAC) held talks here today on the sidelines of the 67th session of the UN General Assembly. The GCC's delegation to the meeting was led by Abdullah Al-Maalami, Saudi Arabia's ambassador to the United Nations, as his country is the current rotating president of the GCC. The delegation also comprises of Bahrain's Foreign Minister Shaikh Khaild bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa and Dr. Abdullatif Al-Zayani, the Secretary General of the GCC. SELAC's delegation was chaired by Chili's Foreign Minister Alfredo Moreno Charmi, whose country holds the rotating presidency of the group which comprises 33 countries from Central America, South America and the Caribbean sea. During the meeting, ways of enhancing cooperative relations between the GCC and SELAC groups in the political, economic and commercial fields were discussed.
