AlQa'dah 12, 1433, Sep 28, 2012, SPA -- At least 10 policemen and five prisoners have been killed in clashes at a prison in Tikrit, an Iraqi city located about 170 kilometres north of Baghdad, dpa cited police officials as saying Friday. Police forces were able to regain control of the prison after overnight clashes saw 81 inmates escape, a police officer told dpa. A further 30 policemen and 15 prisoners were also injured. "The situation is now quiet and under control. We have imposed a partial curfew in some areas and deployed extra security to search for the escaped prisoners," the officer said.
