AlQa'dah 10, 1433, Sep 26, 2012, SPA - Two large explosions rocked the centre of the Syrian capital Damascus on Wednesday, apparently targeting the military staff headquarters, according to DPA. Syrian Information Minister Omran al-Zogbi reported some damage from the blast, but denied that the attack had resulted in any casualties. The opposition Syrian observatory for Human Rights said one of the blasts hit in the heart of the district of Ummayad Square in central Damascus. The second struck to the west, closer to the nearby neighborhood of Kfar Soussa and Abu Roumaneh. The blasts were 15 minutes apart, and shattered glass windows of residential buildings located around 200 metres from the sites, added the Britain-based organization.
