AlQa'dah 08, 1433, September 24, 2012, SPA -- Over ten Japanese police and coastguard personnel have encamped on the disputed Diaoyu Islands, dpa reported. According to Japanese newspaper (Jiji Press), they arrived after a ship carrying Taiwanese activists was tracked as it entered the region. The guards tried to prevent protesters from landing on the island. China strongly stood against the arrival of security men on the islands. These acts are an attack on the sovereignty of China, and the Chinese side has made strong objections to the Japanese side on the issue, urging Japan to stop all activities that violate China's sovereignty over the Diaoyu Islands, spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry Hong Lei said. China will continue to take measures to defend its sovereignty over those lands, he asserted.
