AlQa'dah 3, 1433, Sep 19, 2012, SPA - A fire at a gas pipeline distribution center near Mexico's border with the United States killed 10 people Tuesday, Petroleos Mexicanos said. Mexico's state-owned oil company, also known as Pemex, said in a statement that the fire broke out early Tuesday at a facility near Reynosa, across from McAllen, Texas. The company said that the blaze had been extinguished and the pipeline, which serves wells in the Burgos basin that produce natural gas, had been shut off. Pemex said it was not immediately clear whether those killed were their own employees, nor did it immediately offer the possible cause of the fire.
