Saudi International Biotechnology Conference 2012 Opened

AlQa'dah 2, 1433, Sep 18, 2012, SPA -- Prince Dr. Turki bin Saud bin Mohammed, the Vice President of King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) for Research Institutes patronized today the opening ceremony of the Saudi International Biotechnology Conference 2012, organized by KACST at its headquarters in Riyadh, with the participation of a group of international experts, researchers and specialists in this field.
On the occasion, Prince Dr. Turki explained that the total value of the research projects in the field of biotechnology, supported by KACST through the National Plan for Science, Technology and Innovation for the past three years exceeded 350 million riyals, representing 25% of the total supported projects of various strategic technologies approved by the national plan.
