SR 350 Million Research Projects At King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology

AlQa'dah 2, 1433, Sep 18, 2012, SPA -- Prince Dr. Turki bin Saud bin Mohammed, Vice President of King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology for Research Institutes, said that the total value of the research projects in the field of biotechnology supported by the city through the National Plan for Science, Technology and Innovation over the last three years exceeded SR 350 million representing 25% of the total number of projects supported in various strategic technologies adopted by the national plan.
He made the remarks during his inauguration here today of a conference on biotechnology.
He stated that the city has paid biotechnology considerable attention and thus established the National Center for Biotechnology in addition to other centers and efforts in this field.
