AlQa'dah 1, 1433, Sep 17, 2012, SPA - The international military coalition in Afghanistan says an Afghan soldier has turned his weapon on a vehicle he believed was driven by NATO soldiers on a shared base in the south, wounding an international civilian worker. The attack happened the same day an Afghan police officer shot and killed four American service members in Zabul, also in the south. NATO forces spokesman Maj. Adam Wojack says Monday that the attack happened Sunday evening at Camp Garmsir in Helmand province. He says another Afghan soldier disarmed the assailant and took him into custody. He allegedly told interrogators he had thought he was targeting troops. Wojack declined to give the nationality of the civilian. He said the wounds were minor, according to a report of the Associated Press.
