On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Prince Khalid Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Makkah Region, opened here this evening the sixth Souk Okaz, an annual cultural festival named after a famous ancient gathering for poets of the then Arabian Peninsula.
This year's event was organized under the logo "Souk Okaz: a Life Gathering".
At the venue, Prince Khalid Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz was received by Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, President of the General Commission for Tourism and Antiquities, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja, Minister of Culture and Information, Fahd bin Abdulaziz bin Muammar, Governor of Taif Province, Dr. Khalid Al-Sabti, Deputy Minister of Education and senior officials.
Then the guest of honor, who is also the Chairman of the Supreme Supervising Committee, had a tour of the pavilions of folklore, culture and games.
