OIC Runs International Contacts to Follow up Implementing Development Projects in Al-Quds -Ihsanoglu

The Secretary General of Organization of Islamic (OIC) Cooperation Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu extended thanks and gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, for calling for the convening of the 4th extraordinary summit which has recently taken place, in Makkah, in order to spotlight the concept of Islamic solidarity, authenticate joint Islamic solidarity action and turn it into an effective institutional action.
Ihsanoglu was addressing a 3-day preparatory gathering of senior officials of OIC member states designed to lay ground for the 39th session of the ministers of foreign affairs, set to take place in Djibouti.
OIC has reached to an accord with Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas to follow up the implementation of a sector-wise plan related to the development of Al-Quds which was approved by the 4th extraordinary session of Islamic summit held, during last Ramadan, in Makkah, Ihsanoglu stated, adding that OIC is making a number of contacts with some countries to back up projects included in it.
