Participants in the symposium on "Role and Responsibility of Public Prosecution and Judiciary Bodies in Anti-Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism", currently taking place in Riyadh, lauded the Kingdom's efforts in anti-money laundering and financing of terrorism. Jeson Balzx, Head of the Counter-Terrorism Office of the U.S. Government, lauded the important role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in reducing the spread of money laundering crimes and the financing of terrorism, stressing the cooperation between the United States and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the fight against crimes of money laundering and financing of terrorism which pose a threat to international peace and security. For their parts, Tareq Asrawi, Prosecutor General to Combat Economic Crimes in Palestine, and Fakhri Abu Jabal, Advisor to the Attorney General in the Arab Republic of Egypt, stressed the importance of this symposium, expressing thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for hosting this symposium and Prince Ahmad bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior, for patronizing it.
