One person was killed and another critically injured from a shooting at a victory speech by Quebec's new premier, Montreal police said. Pauline Marois, who will be the first female premier of Quebec after her center-left party won provincial elections, was rushed off stage when gunfire rang out around midnight Tuesday, police said. Marois was not harmed. "We know the suspect had more than one gun when it happened," Montreal police Cmdr. Ian Lafreniere told reporters. "Then he went out and set a fire at the door. The fire was extinguished by some police officers who were there." Police arrested a suspect, believed to be about 50 years old, CNN affiliate CBC reported.
