Saudi Arabia and Yemen Sign Assistance Accords

Minister of Finance and Chairman of the board of directors of the Saudi Development Fund Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf and Yemen's Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Mohammed Saeed Saadi signed today here today two grant agreements for an amount of SR 97.5 million to finance the construction of the wind farm with a capacity of 60 MW and the project of vaccination against measles.
The Minister of Finance also signed a deposit agreement with the governor of the Central Bank of Yemen Mohammed Awad Hammam. Under the agreement, the Kingdom will provide a cash deposit of One billion U.S. dollars to the Central Bank of Yemen.
This came on the sidelines of a meeting of donors (Advisory Group) to support the Republic of Yemen, which is currently hosted by the Kingdom in Riyadh.
