The first shipment of Australian livestock consisting of 75,000 heads of sheep and 6000 cows will arrive in Jeddah Islamic Seaport tomorrow after a two-year disruption. The ceremony will be attended by Australian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Neil Hawkins and Trade Attaché Michael Cavanaugh; Vice President of Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mazen Batterjee, and a number of officials and businessmen. On this occasion, the Australian Ambassador expressed his happiness for the resumption of export of Australian livestock to the Saudi market which is one of the most important, strong and vital markets in the region, adding that trade and economic relations between the two countries have been deep-rooted and witnessing growth and development in various economic, investment and trade sectors.
