An Egyptian man was killed Sunday in the Sinai Peninsula by what a security official said was a rocket-propelled grenade, while residents said he was hit by a rocket launched from neighbouring Israel according to dpa. The victim, identified as Ibrahim Uweida, was killed immediately when he was hit by an Israeli rocket, said witnesses. An Egyptian security official told dpa on condition of anonymity that a rocket-propelled grenade, fired from an unknown location, had killed him. The Egyptian Army has been pursuing a high-profile campaign against militants in Sinai after gunmen killed 16 soldiers in Rafah near the Palestinian Gaza Strip earlier this month.
