Moroccan King Mohammed VI has pardoned 371 marking the advent of Eid Al-Fitr, the Justice Ministry said in a statement issued last night. The pardoned prisoners included 57 inmates who had been released on humanitarian grounds. The Moroccan authorities also reduced jail terms for 183 prisoners. The Moroccan monarch had pardoned 196 convicts (191 women and 5 men) following a visit to a prison in Casablanca on August 10.
