Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, has sent a cable of condolences to President Mahmoud Ahmadi Nejad of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the victims fell due to the earthquake which hit the region of Azerbaijan. In his cable, the Crown Prince said "I received with great sorrow and sadness the news of the earthquake that hit the region of Azerbaijan, north-west of the Islamic Republic of Iran, resulting in deaths, injuries and damage. I extend my deep condolences and sincere sympathy to your Excellency, the families of the victims and people of Iran".
