Lebanon's President Michael Sulaiman today warned against threatening the security and safety of Lebanese and expatriates in his country, regardless of the country to which the outlaws belong or the issue they raise as excuse to threaten Lebanese people or foreigners in Lebanon. In a press release this evening, he instructed the concerned authorities in Lebanon to strictly enforce law to prevent robbery, abduction, ambush and slaying and protect diplomatic missions of friendly countries, including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey and Syria. He also urged political leaders in Lebanon to control their party mates and help the state to remain committed to Baabuda declaration which confirmed that Lebanon will be neutral towards neighboring conflicts.
