A man in an Afghan security force uniform fatally shot three US troops in southern Afghanistan, dpa cited the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) as saying Friday. It was too early to say whether the shooter in the Sangin district of Helmand province was a member of the Afghan security forces or a militant infiltrator, said ISAF spokeswoman Major Lori Hodge. Local officials confirmed late Thursday's attack, saying the shooter was in a National Police uniform, shot dead three US Special Forces soldiers and injured one. "It seems that the killer had a close relationship with the US soldiers because he had invited them for dinner Thursday night and shot them," an official who requested anonymity said.
