Syrian government forces Wednesday launched a massive-scale offensive in the northern city of Aleppo. "I can tell you the decisive battle for Aleppo has started," Abu Omar Al-Halabi, a commander in the Free Syrian Army, told DPA by phone. He added that the government forces were using artillery, jet fighters and rocket launchers.
