Syrian opposition fighters have shot down an army helicopter near a military airport in the northern city of Aleppo, a fighter in the city told dpa Monday. "Our fighters shot down a regime helicopter trying to bombard areas at the outskirts of Aleppo. Clashes are now focusing on capturing a military barracks inside the northeastern Hananou neighbourhood," Abu Omar al-Halabi said.
