A Hong Kong-based drug syndicate was smashed in Australia and half a ton of heroin and methamphetamines seized, police said Tuesday. Nine men from Hong Kong were arrested in Sydney after 306 kilograms of methamphetamine and 252 kilograms of heroin were found inside shipping containers. The methamphetamine haul was the largest ever seized in Australia, and the heroin represented the third-largest single seizure of the drug there, according to a report of DPA.
