Opposing Syrian National Council called on the United Nations Security Council to convene an urgent meeting to prevent massacres of civilians to be planned by the Syrian regime in the cities of Aleppo, Damascus and Homs. In a statement issued today, the Syrian Council called on the Security Council to discuss the situation in the three cities and take measures for necessary protection of civilians from the bombing atrocities carried out by the regime's forces.
