The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet session held at Al-Salam palace in Jeddah this evening. At the outset of the meeting, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques extended thanks to Allah Almighty for offering every Muslim alive to attend the blessed month of Ramadan, congratulating the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the peoples of the Islamic and Arab nations on the holy month and appealing to Allah Almighty to help eligible Muslims to successfully worship the month and their leaders to stick to Sharia law and the Prophet's deeds and sayings. In a statement to the Saudi Press agency following the meeting, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja, Minister of Culture and Information, said the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques briefed the Cabinet on the meetings and contacts he made last week with a number of leaders of brotherly and friendly countries and their envoys on regional developments and their repercussions in addition to international efforts in this regard, reiterating the firm positions of the Kingdom towards these developments and its keenness on whatever achieve security and stability in the region and the entire world. The Cabinet lauded the Arab Ministerial Council's efforts, notably its resolutions taken at its extraordinary meeting in Doha last night regarding the situation in Syria. The Doha meeting has underscored the importance of working to provide all kinds of support required to help the Syrian people and intensify the Arab and international efforts to spare bloodshed in Syria and extend the needed humanitarian assistance to them. --More
