Prince Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Eastern Region, received here today the Chief Executive Officer of King Fahd Specialist Hospital in Dammam Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Shaibani. During the meeting, Dr. Al-Shaibani briefed Prince Mohammed on King Khalid Medical City Project which was ordered to be constructed by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. The Governor of Eastern Region expressed thanks to and appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince for their unlimited support. King Khalid Medical City covers an area of 7000 square meters at a cost of SR 4.650 billion with a capacity of 1500 beds. It also contains a cardio and oncology research center, organ transplantation center and neuroscience center. King Khalid Medical City also has an integrated residential complex. The project is scheduled to start early 2013.
