Syrian Defense Minister Killed In Blast

Syrian Defense Minister, General Dawood Rajha, was killed today in the bombing of the national security building in Damascus which coincided with a meeting of ministers and chiefs of security in the building.
Syrian television has confirmed the news of the death of the Defense Minister and injuries to Interior Minister Mohammad Al-Shaar; Chief of National Security Office Hisham Al-Ikhityar, and Deputy Chief of Staff, Major General Assef Shawkat.
